Young Learners Centre
Membership of the centre is open to children between the ages of five and fifteen inclusive and children can use the centre from 09.00hrs to 12.00hrs and from 15.00hrs to 19.00hrs five days a week, from Saturday to Wednesday, and Thursdays from 10.00hrs to 13.00 hrs.

The centre is an attractive and inviting place; the furniture was designed with children in mind, with a choice of squashy bean-bags or foam blocks to sit on while browsing through a story book. There is a lending library stocked with bright, colourful books for the young ones, and a wide range of fiction for the older children. In addition, there is a reference library of encyclopedias and dictionaries to help children with their school work.

The centre also has a video lending library from which children can choose a video to watch in the centre on one of the four TV/video players, or select three videos to take home for one week.

Undoubtedly one of the most popular features of the centre is the computer. We have five terminals and a wide range of CD-ROM programmes to amuse, entertain and teach the children.

Our Library and Information Assistant, Fatima Fakhro, welcomes visitors to the Centre and is always happy to show them round. Drop in soon; we'd be pleased to see you!
