Research agency appointed for the ECS membership services review

18 February 2002

ECS has appointed J Walter Thompson Education to undertake the research for the ECS membership services review. J Walter Thompson have undertaken a number of successful research projects related to international student recruitment, including the 1997 Global research into the choice factors and influences of Asian students. They have also undertaken work for IDP, IIE, and many education institutions.

The aim of the membership review is to assess how the current services provided by ECS meet the current and future needs of members and to ensure that maximum value for money is provided. Both the qualitative and quantitative research will take place over the next two months through focus groups, interviews and questionnaires. A wide range of stakeholders will be surveyed as part of the research, including members, non-members, Vice-Chancellors, heads of institutions, and sector bodies such as UUK, AoC, ARELS and ISC.
