Programme

Grundtvig is the new Action within Socrates, the EU education programme, which supports a commitment at both European and national level to improve availability, accessibility and quality of adult learning and teaching. Grundtvig supports:
  • the development of learning materials
  • the development of information and guidance services for adult learners and providers
  • the organisation of awareness-raising activities to increase the demand for lifelong learning
  • adult educators to update their skills in another European country
  • the involvement of learners in joint projects with their counterparts in other European countries
  • the establishment of networks to disseminate products and results to new audiences.

Aims

  • to promote European co-operation in lifelong learning
  • to improve the training of adult educators
  • to encourage the development of innovative materials and resources
  • to stimulate the debate on lifelong learning and encourage the sharing of good practice.
