How to become Accredited

Eligibility

Schools should satisfy the following criteria:

"the organisation has operated in Britain for a minimum period of time. This qualifying period is normally set at two years for organisations offering courses throughout the year, and at three years for those offering courses for fewer than twenty-five weeks a year. If an applicant is in the same ownership as an organisation which is already accredited, a shorter qualifying period may be allowed, at the discretion of the ASAC." (Handbook 2002, section 2.1.1.6)

What do I do next?

  • have a look at the Scheme Handbook, particularly Appendix D and Appendix E
  • If you feel your institution meets the Scheme Criteria complete and return forms AS3, AS2 and AS1 with stage 1 documentation
