The A.S. Hornby Educational Trust

Albert Hornby

The A.S. Hornby Educational Trust was established in 1968 by A.S. Hornby to promote English Studies, in particular teaching English as a foreign or second language.

The Trust, with the British Council, co-funds regional schools around the world for English language teachers. In 2002, schools were held in Hungary, Uzbekistan and India. For the academic year 2002/03, the Trust also funded 18 teachers on MA courses in ELT in the United Kingdom.
