  The Development Information Centre was established to provide information on development issues in general and on Ethiopia in particular. The service is aimed at those working in International Aid Agencies and in local and international NGOs, visiting consultants, researchers, academics, planners and policy makers. It also collects and maintains local information relevant for UK education and training exporters.

The Centre holds over 2,000 source of documents on development issues including government publications, conference proceedings, studies undertaken in development subject, government official data (statistics, economic data), publications of non-governmental organizations, multilateral and international aid agencies and the World Bank.
