The National Advice Centre for Postgraduate Medical Education (NACPME)
NACPME is an information service for overseas-qualified doctors who wish to train in the United Kingdom, run by the British Council on behalf of the Department of Health. NACPME aims to provide doctors with as much information as they need either before coming to the UK or during their stay here.
NACPME provides information in the following main areas:
Please note NACPME cannot obtain posts or attachments for doctors nor can it lobby the GMC or other authories on behalf of doctors.
Doctors who are overseas should contact the British Council in their own country; overseas doctors in the UK and overseas doctors who do not have a British Council office in their own country should contact NACPME in Manchester or visit the Information Centre in London.
