The British Council home page

Welcome to the health themes page. This page provides links to some of the work which the health team does.

You can start by looking at our health policy document. This document sets out British Council policy in the health sector and and is based on consultation with sponsors and UK partners. It shows how the Council's health sector work supports both public diplomacy and development objectives.

We also recommend taking a look at Health Insight, our on-line health bulletin which is produced for British Council use by FSG MediMedia. Health Insight is updated on a regular basis, and includes a selection of articles drawn from a wide range of recent sources, including periodicals, newspapers, journals and press releases.

For information and contact details on the various Royal Colleges, click here. Doctors wishing to become specialists in the UK must undertake a training programme approved by the College relevant to their speciality, which makes a recommendation to the Specialist Training Authority when the programme has been successfully completed.
