Learning English

The British Council in Ireland do not have a teaching centre, nor the facilities for holding examinations. However, we can guide you as to where to look:

  • English language exams - The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is widely recognised as a language requirement for further and higher education, and is the preferred language test of most UK universities. There are two test centres in the Republic of Ireland, both of which also offer other Cambridge exams such as the First Certificate in English (FCE):
