GETIS is the British Council's web and email-based market information service for anyone involved in the overseas marketing of UK education and training services.

The GETIS service includes

  • a web site containing:
    • free access to valuable external resources
    • detailed descriptions and background on overseas education and training systems
    • an analysis of the opportunities for UK education and training providers in the market
    • detailed listings of key institutions and other background details
  • a suite of four email news services giving daily bulletins of developments overseas that have potential marketing value for UK providers of education and training. These are:

    • TERT-L Tertiary education
    • MIS-L English Language Teaching
    • QVS-L Qualifications, vocational education and schools
    • PUB-L Books and publishing
  • special access to British Council services, events, fairs, missions etc.

If you are not already a subscriber, you have the opportunity to browse through some sample pages from the market information section or a sample TERT-L and MIS-L news digests.

We strongly recommend that institutions wishing to recruit international students should join the Education Counselling Service (ECS) to obtain the full range of British Council promotional services. Membership of GETIS is included in ECS membership.
