British Chevening Scholarships 2004-05
nationals are invited to compete for one of the prestigious scholarships
awarded by the UK government. British Chevening Scholarships are
for graduate professionals of outstanding ability, who are seeking further
study or training in an area of importance to the relations between Britain
and Saudi Arabia.
British Chevening Scholarships are for postgraduate courses or specialised training in any subject at British universities or other accredited training institutions. The awards are for between three and twelve months' study and include tuition fees, international air tickets, and a monthly living allowance. In the case of an award for twelve months, the candidate will normally be registered for a Master's degree.
British Chevening Scholarships are open awards: applications are invited from all suitably qualified candidates. The basic requirements are:
The British Embassy and the British Council jointly manage British Chevening Scholarships in Saudi Arabia. Application forms, together with detailed information on the full range of UK education and training opportunities, are available at the British Council's Information Centres.
In 2003, the British Council must receive all applications by 15 November. Shortlisting of applications will take place in late November/early December and interviews will be held around mid-January 2004, with final decisions being confirmed to candidates by end January 2004.
