Global science, engineering and environment policy
People around the world are interested in creating wealth, using and adapting technologies for their own needs, having a say in democratic processes, using new media and engaging with popular arts, literature and culture. Particularly for the young, science and modernity are inseparable, and technology is culture. Images of a modern UK are unthinkable without science, engineering and technology.

By promoting UK culture and creativity, the British Council has a unique role to play in sustaining communications for, and about, UK science, engineering and technology, and how these interact to create wealth and social well-being in the UK system of innovation as a whole.

The full policy document is available in hard copy and the downloadable .pdf version is availabe here.
