The British Council has operated in Tanzania since the 1950s as one of
the nation's principal development partners. We have developed strong
links with prominent policy makers and decision makers within a wide range
of government institutions, non-governmental organisations (NGO's) and
institutions of higher education.
We have built strong working relationships with the Civil Service Commission, Ministry of Regional Administration and Local Government and Ministry of Health particularly the Regional and District Health Authorities of Mbeya, Morogoro and Kilimanjaro.
We maintain contact with highly placed individuals in government, universities, and NGO's many of whom are former scholars to Britain whose placements were sponsored or administered by The British Council.
