Welcome
Welcome to the British Council in Yemen. The main focus of our work is to promote and strengthen Yemen's institutional and social development through partnership.

We work towards this goal in three main areas. First, we work with key partners to support ongoing public sector reform and active civil society, in order to promote human rights and contribute to Yemen's development. A particular objective is the strengthening of women's participation.

Second, we support the teaching and learning of English. Third, we promote educational and cultural ties between young people from Yemen and the UK.
